China-ASEAN Economic Cooperation Deepens: New Opportunities for Fiberglass Mesh Manufacturers

Unlocking Regional Growth: How Fiberglass Mesh Suppliers Can Leverage ASEAN Trade and CAEXPO 2025

CAEXPO 2025: A Gateway to China-ASEAN Collaboration

The 22nd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) takes place in Nanning, Guangxi, from September 17–21, 2025. Under the theme “Digital Intelligence Empowers Development, Innovation Leads the Future,” the event highlights opportunities from the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0. It aims to build a regional community with a shared future. The exhibition spans 160,000 square meters. Around 3,200 enterprises from 45 countries will join. New pavilions focus on AI, new quality productive forces, and the blue economy. These displays will show the latest bilateral achievements.

Strong Economic and Trade Relations Set the Stage

Economic and trade relations between China and ASEAN remain robust. China has been ASEAN’s largest trading partner for 16 consecutive years, while ASEAN has held the same position in China’s foreign trade for five years. In 2024, the bilateral trade volume between China and five ASEAN countries, including Vietnam and Malaysia, each exceeded $100 billion. From January to July 2025, total trade reached $597 billion, an increase of 8.2% year-on-year, accounting for 16.7% of China’s total foreign trade. On the investment front, cumulative two-way investment between China and ASEAN surpassed $450 billion by July 2025, and Chinese enterprises have completed engineering projects worth $480 billion in ASEAN countries.

Growing Opportunities for Fiberglass Mesh Manufacturers

Against this favorable backdrop, China’s fiberglass industry, especially fiberglass mesh manufacturers, is encountering new export opportunities. As a key material used in building insulation, crack prevention, and reinforcement, national standard specification fiberglass mesh cloth is widely applied in infrastructure and new building materials. With accelerating urbanization and infrastructure upgrades in ASEAN countries, demand for high-performance fiberglass mesh continues to rise, creating broad export markets for Chinese producers.

How FTA 3.0 and RCEP Support Industry Expansion

The China-ASEAN FTA 3.0 talks have concluded. This starts a new phase in regional economic integration. The deal includes “hard connectivity” in digital infrastructure and “soft connectivity” in rules and standards. It boosts industry chain collaboration. The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) is also being implemented well. It lowers trade barriers for fiberglass products. This helps mesh manufacturers grow globally.

Digital and Green Transformation at CAEXPO

CAEXPO 2025 will have halls for AI and new quality productive forces. These highlight digital and green economy trends. The fiberglass mesh sector is moving toward smart and sustainable production. Many firms will use the expo to launch products and meet ASEAN buyers. This strengthens China’s role as a top global supplier.

Orders and Partnerships in Focus

Over 100 major projects will be signed at the event. These cover digital and green economies. They will offer fiberglass mesh suppliers strong orders and partnerships. Guangxi, a key China-ASEAN hub, promotes cooperation in sectors like building materials. This helps Chinese firms reach regional markets.

Strategies for Fiberglass Mesh Producers Going Forward

Amid deepening regional economic integration, Chinese high quality fiberglass mesh fabric supplier should focus on enhancing product quality and technological capability, optimizing cross-border supply chains, and leveraging international platforms like CAEXPO to strengthen their influence in ASEAN and Belt and Road markets.
